We started Cornerstone Developments over 20 years ago with a simple goal: Build homes that we would be proud to live in ourselves, and help people move into property with more clarity and less uncertainty.
How it started
Cornerstone Developments has grown over the past 20 years from a small family approach to property into a steady part of the Waikato building landscape.
The focus has always been on keeping things practical and building homes that are straightforward, comfortable, and made to last.
We aim to build homes we would be happy living in ourselves, and to help others step into property with a bit more clarity and less uncertainty.
Over time, this has resulted in more than 500 homes delivered across the region. While the work has grown, the way we approach each project has stayed consistent.

Mike Callagher
Mike and his wife Jacqui originally entered the property market while thinking about how they would build long term financial security for their family. At the time, they had three young children and Mike was working two jobs.
Over time, they slowly built a small rental portfolio, which led to a growing interest in building and developing homes.
Today, they have five children, with two working alongside them in the business. Cornerstone Developments has grown from those early steps into a long standing part of the Waikato property developers market, focused on building homes and helping others move toward their own property goals, whether that is a first home, investment, or long term plan.
